Residence in Bellevue, Wa.

 

This project focused on the southeast corner of an existing residence. The primary emphasis was the replacement of an existing deck structure 10’feet above finish grade.

 

New design features included: a scaled down version of the existing, a transparent style railing with the incorporation of a western red cedar frame and Plexiglas infill. The owner’s preference for decking was a Trex surface with minimal maintenance.

 

Beneath the new deck, the owner opted to reconfigure the existing hardscape and include a new planter as well as a remedial drainage system.
